Of Swans and Castles
Because we achieved a verbal agreement on a rental price for a house yesterday and don't sign paperwork until tomorrow, today was our first day not consumed with viewing and negotiating properties.
We took the train north a quick 2 stops and visited Tonbridge Castle.
(That's part of the castle grounds in the distance beyond the flower-adorned bridge.)
The view of the bridge with the swans was particularly beautiful.
The swan family looked like a mama, a daddy, and three little ones.
We know a little bit about that configuration.

Admission is free but you can get a guided tour of the gatehouse for a fee. We opted to keep the kids moving and just leisurely explore the grounds and have a picnic lunch.
The views of Tonbridge made a nice backdrop for a lunch of cheese, baguette, grapes, almonds...
and Pringles.
European with an American twist. :)

I wonder if Mama Swan gets begged to go to the playground as much as we do?
